What is a #WarriorWoman?

So I have been tossing up what to write about for my first  Mind Design Coaching blog and there are so many things I could  start with……

I could tell you all about coaching and what it is and how it can benefit your life.

I could tell you about life transitions, what they are, when they happen and what you can do to get through them more successfully.

But, the thing that sets my soul on fire (more so than the first two topics, which by the way I am very passionate about) is the #WarriorWomen I work with, spend my time with and love more than the world!

I`m currently writing a book about #WarriorWomen and the life transitions we go through. Its a bit autobiographical and a bit guided by research and a bit real life stories, with the added bonus of some coaching tips and strategies for getting through life transitions.

So what is this #WarriorWomen I keep tagging everywhere?

Basically, it came from a realisation that I was put on this earth to help women like me, women like you, women who are the definition of warriors and who don’t get the visibility, the recognition, the LIFE that they want because they are too busy looking after other peoples needs and lives! This is not about being a martyr, this about getting support through the enormous changes we women go through in our lives, particularly in our paid and unpaid work and having children (my god that’s a bloody minefield), without feeling guilt for actually having needs too!

So how do I define #WarriorWomen? Here’s what I say in my book……..

A #warriorwoman is every woman.
Every woman I know,
YOU and
every woman you know.
We have battle scars, we have been to war, some wars we have conquered, some may have had casualties.
Some #WarriorWomen wear their battles scars on the inside, where few can see them and even fewer get to know them. Some wear them on the outside like a badge of honour, a symbol of strength, a memory of our greatest joy or deepest pain.
We are all #WarriorWomen with our own stories of joy and love, pain and sorrow. We are all on this adventure we call life, together and navigating as best we can with the resources we have.
The thing about #WarriorWomen and the amazing women I have known in my life is that we aren’t just born warriors, we become them through so many challenges, adventures and experiences we encounter in our lives and more importantly, how we choose to deal with them.

My book and my work aims to build a community of women who stand by each other, support and uplift each other, particularly through our unique life transitions like having children, returning to work, redundancy, meno, mid-life, retirement, losing loved ones and facing serious illnesses. There are so many transitions we go through in life and sometimes we lose a little bit of ourselves in the process.

My new aim in life is to find ways to support women through these life transitions, through coaching and NLP and building support networks, so that we women can live our BEST lives, not just muddle through life wondering when it will get better and we will have something for ourselves!

If this sounds like you or you can relate – follow me on insta and facebook, look out for my book coming in late 2017/early 2018 (depending on my editor :)), look out for my online short courses, contact me to start up a community of #WarriorWomen near you or just call me for an initial free coaching session.

Life is too short to half live it! Change your MIND DESIGN your life!

big love to you all
